Guttenberghaus (Dachstein)

Location: Austria

This is a mroe challenging hike – in the local tourist map called the “king’s tour” (Königsetappe). Starting at the Silberkarklamm – a steep, small canyoon – you’ll start to climb up with stairs and ladders (entry fee is 3-€). Afterwards you go up for about 500m on mountain tracks, be prepared to cross some small snow fields. On the top there is the Guttenberghaus, which is the perfect place for a rest.

The route down is broader and easier to walk, but in the end the roundtrip is about 15km long.
